  • Justice & Responsibility

At Lilliput CE Infant School, we believe that every child can make a positive difference in God’s world. Through our vision and values of Love, Respect and Service, we encourage pupils to develop a strong sense of justice, take responsibility for their actions and show care and compassion towards others.

We want our children to understand the difference between right and wrong, to recognise when something is unfair and to have the confidence to speak up and make a change. Through positive relationships, our pupils learn that their voices matter and that they can work together to improve their school, their local community and the wider world.

    School Councillors

Our School Councillors represent the views of their classmates and work alongside staff to help improve our school. They gather ideas, discuss issues that are important to pupils and help make decisions that positively impact school life.

The School Council also coordinates fundraising activities throughout the year, helping to support charities and causes chosen by the children. Through this work, pupils learn about responsibility, service and the difference they can make when they work together for the good of others.

    Eco Warriors

Our Eco Warriors take an active role in caring for God's world and promoting environmental responsibility. They have led initiatives to reduce energy usage within school, encourage active travel and improve the school environment for everyone.

Their commitment and leadership helped the school achieve the prestigious Green Flag Award, recognising the positive impact they have made in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. Through their work, they encourage all members of our community to consider how their choices affect the world around them.

    Play Leaders

Our Play Leaders help to create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment at playtimes. They organise games, encourage imaginative play and support younger children to join in with activities.

By modelling kindness, fairness and respect, they help ensure that everyone feels included and valued, demonstrating how small acts of service can make a significant difference to others.

A Strong Sense of Right and Wrong

Throughout school life, children are encouraged to develop a strong moral compass and understand their responsibility towards others. Through worship, classroom learning and daily interactions, pupils explore questions of fairness, justice and compassion.

We encourage children to stand up for what is right, challenge unkindness and support those who may need help. By developing courage, empathy and respect for others, our pupils learn that they can be agents of positive change within their communities.

    Social Action and Charitable Giving

Our pupils regularly engage in social action projects that help them respond to issues they care deeply about. These opportunities allow children to put their values into action and understand how they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Over the years, pupils have supported a range of causes, including adopting endangered animals, collecting provisions for local food banks, creating shoeboxes of gifts for children experiencing poverty through the Rotary Club of Westbourne, and supporting charities such as Abby's Heroes, whose work has touched families within our community. Through these experiences, children learn about generosity, compassion and their responsibility to help create a fairer and kinder world.
